This CD-Rom, for whiteboard use, is an electronic version of Traffic and Safety from the hugely successful Start-Up Geography series.
This CD examines the various ways in which traffic and parking are controlled and helps children identify the nature of a road in relation to traffic. Children are introduced to words and phrases related to traffic and discover the purpose of various road signs, parking controls and road safety measures.
The CD is easy to navigate and allows the user to move from the contents screen to any page. It also offers an interactive glossary and index and website links. A zoom facility allows close-up views of critical elements, and a scroll facility allows the user to move over large areas.
REVIEWS
Colourful pictures, diagrams and maps, with an informative approach that seeks to build on and extend the reader's knowledge, certainly appealed to my 7 year-old grandchild. A glossary, notes for teachers and an index are included.
